Kathy Fahey is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She earned a Master of Science degree in Administration, with a concentration in Quantitative Methods of Analysis, from George Washington University. She was a software development manager with IBM for 10 years, where she was responsible for the design and implementation of command and control software, including orbital simulation for overhead reconnaissance satellites.
In 1983, she resigned from IBM to be a "stay-at-home Mom" for her two sons, then ages three and one. After her sons came to Worcester, she taught here several years on a part-time basis teaching both math and science and as a long-term substitute teacher for 2nd grade, 6th grade, and the Upper School (Precalculus, AP Physics, Algebra II, and Geometry) before joining the faculty full-time in 1999. Mrs. Fahey is a parent of two WPS graduates, Sean and Scott. The Faheys live in Salisbury. Mrs. Fahey is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and is always extremely proud when one of our students wins the annual competition.
