Ms. Victoria Garner is a professional with nearly twenty years of experience in the field of college counseling. Since 2011 she has been the Director of College Counseling at Nichols School in Buffalo, New York, where she has directed an office of three dedicated counselors and one registrar/support staff. This office worked with an upper school of over four hundred college bound students.
Prior to her work with Nichols, Ms. Garner was the Director of College Counseling at Sandy Spring Friends School in Maryland from 2001 to 2011 and was Director of Admissions there the fourteen years prior. Those who know her comment on the patient and individualized counsel she gives to both students and parents, helping them navigate their options and find the right fit. Garner has attended and presented at numerous conferences on college placement and is well networked in the field. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from West Chester University in Pennsylvania in 1983 and followed with a Master of Fine Arts Degree from George Washington University in 1985.
