A large number of sports and an intentionally small student body open opportunities for students who might never put on a jersey at other schools to become leaders and important members of the Fighting Mallards team.
Coaches, many of whom bring collegiate and professional athletic experience, know their student athletes on and off the field, and build relationships with their players that extend beyond the final buzzer.
Many of Worcester Prep’s student-athletes have gone on to play at the next level, competing on Division I, II, and III collegiate lacrosse, soccer, field hockey, tennis, golf, and volleyball teams. Colleges and universities are eager to recruit at Worcester Prep as they know academic eligibility will not be an issue.
While Worcester Prep has claimed numerous Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference championships and is ranked one of the most competitive schools in the conference, the true measure of the athletic program’s success is students who learn the value of leadership and teamwork, experience a deeper connection to the school, and become more well-rounded people.
