Berlin, MD – The Worcester Preparatory School (WPS) Volunteers Club teamed up with Neshawn Jubilee of the Ocean City Police Department to support the Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run, increasing awareness and raising funds for the Special Olympics.
The Volunteers Club sold 120 Torch Run t-shirts, raising over $2,400 to be donated to the Maryland Chapter of the Special Olympics. On Monday, June 3, all participating students and faculty wore their Torch Run T-shirts to school, cheering on Worcester County Law Enforcement Torch Run participants as they began the Berlin leg of the marathon.
Founded in 1970, WPS is a private, independent Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 School, located in Berlin, Maryland. Approximately 500 students attend from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.
