Annual SGA Food Drive at WPS

Berlin, MD – The annual Student Government Association (SGA) sponsored Food Drive at Worcester Preparatory School (WPS) began on November 18. On Thursday, December 19, the Upper School community gathered to sort and distribute the collected donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items for local non-profit organizations.

The donated items, which include canned goods and non-perishable food, will be distributed to ten centers throughout Maryland and Delaware. These contributions will help feed individuals and families in need during the holiday season and beyond. Additionally, students contributed $5 each to help purchase meats for holiday dinners.

The following organizations will receive and distribute the food collected:

- The Seaford Community Food Closet, Seaford, DE

- Helping Hands Food Bank, Frankford, DE

- Atlantic United Methodist Church, Ocean City, MD

- HALO, Salisbury, MD

- Diakonia, Inc., Ocean City, MD

- Sonrise Church, Berlin, MD

- The Joseph House, Salisbury, MD

- Stevenson United Methodist Church Spirit Kitchen, Berlin, MD

- St. Paul’s by the Sea Episcopal Church, Ocean City, MD

- Berlin First Baptist Church, Berlin, MD
