Young children learn best through play. Through a Pre-K curriculum that honors the age of its students, Worcester Prep creates meaningful, intentional play activities that incorporate introductory academics without lessening little learners’ carefree enjoyment.
In Kindergarten, the focus on academics is gradually increased to include sounding out words and early concepts in math. Kindergarteners feel challenged and excited about their achievements without feeling pushed.
Pre-K and Kindergarten programs also introduce critical social skills. Students develop rich language skills, learning how to use not only words, but also tone and body language to communicate effectively with their friends and with adults. Little ones learn how to be good students and to work together as part of a group.
It’s never too early to begin developing the habits, skills, and mindset necessary for success in later years. At Worcester Prep, Pre-K students and kindergarteners develop curiosity, build confidence, and internalize lessons that will benefit them for a lifetime.
