Berlin, MD – Three Worcester Preparatory School (WPS) senior student-athletes, Leah Gaito of York, PA., Caitlin Williams of Berlin, MD., and Dylan Simons of Seaford, DE., gathered together on Monday, April 29th, to sign off on their commitment to collegian sports programs.
Leah Gaito, who joined WPS as a senior this year, has committed to play Division II Women’s Lacrosse at Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, PA., where she will study Early Childhood Education. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. In addition to playing lacrosse, Leah has also excelled on the Girl's Varsity Basketball and Soccer team at WPS. She will study Early Childhood Education at Messiah University. Leah is the daughter of Anthony and Traci Gaito.
During the conference, Caitlin Williams signed a letter of intent to play Division I Women’s Lacrosse at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL., where she will study nursing. This is her fourth year on the WPS Girls Varsity Lacrosse team as a starting goalie. She recently set a school record with over 500 saves and counting. Caitlin is an AP Scholar and member of the Charles R. Jenkins Chapter National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. She is a multi-sport athlete at Worcester Prep where she also plays Varsity Soccer. Caitlin is the daughter of Chris and Kelly Williams.
Dylan Simons has signed to join the United States Naval Academy, committing to the Division I Men’s Gymnastics team, and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout high school, Dylan maintained a 20-hour-per-week commitment to gymnastics rising to a Level 10 Maryland State Champion gymnast. He earned a spot on the WPS Head of School List throughout his Upper School years at WPS and is a member of the Charles R. Jenkins Chapter National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society. In addition to gymnastics, Dylan has also excelled on the Tennis and Cross-Country teams. Dylan is the son of Richard and Sharon Simons.
