Worcester Wednesday Supports Harry K Foundation

Berlin, MD – On Worcester Wednesday, March 26, Worcester Preparatory School (WPS) collected donations to support the Harry K Foundation.

Each month, WPS students submit the names of foundations to be supported in that month’s Worcester Wednesday. For March, both 10th grader Gabriella Damouni and 6th grader Serena Jaoude submitted the name of the Harry K Foundation. In exchange for a $5 donation to the foundation, students and faculty were allowed to dress casually, and approximately $2,300 was raised.

Childhood hunger is a persistent yet often hidden issue that adversely impacts various aspects of children’s health. These detrimental consequences of hunger can alter a child’s brain and body development, influencing their thinking, learning, and behavior. The Harry K Foundation, led by Harry Keswani, is exploring innovative strategies to address the problem of childhood hunger.
